Can You Say Carbon Copy?

Let me just start by showing you a little photo comparison. . .

I have often been told that my oldest daughter looks just like me. You can decide.
My husband claims she acts just like me (And believe me, when he says it, he is not usually being complimentary. And while I strongly object, doing so only proves his point, to a degree--perhaps the house could use a little less drama).

And I have written before about how she loves to write, again, just like me. I even posted a journal entry she wrote about the day she had a real tornado warning at her school, because I thought she wrote it so well. She even begs to have her own blog.

She loves taking pictures and even asked for a camera for Christmas, which she received, thankfully, so she can quit stealing mine and making me stress over the potential disaster that might occur while she is wielding it.

We are both probably too cautious for our own good. Activities that normal people find fun and exhilarating we both find frightening, due to our over active imaginations, do doubt. She hates going. . .anywhere alone. I hate driving, or shopping alone. I should say, I hate driving, period.(Although mostly in large cities, like the one I live near).

We both need friends and reassurances that we are wonderful. . . frequently and profusely.

She is also very fashion conscience. I am not saying I am particularly fashionable, or that she and I agree about style, but we both know what we like and have definite opinions about what we will and will not wear.

Plus, her current favorite color is blue. I love blue (It goes well with white!)

Then, today I witnessed something that made my heart swell. It confirmed that we are indeed very alike. Scary alike.

I came downstairs to find her watching. . . .HGTV. And loving it. All on her own. Sitting on the couch, watching lovely home improvement and design programs.

I have found the secret to immortality. Just reproduce yourself. And just think, If she is doing everything I do at age eight, imagine what she could accomplish by the time she is . . .my age!

And there I thought she looked like Brooke--but nope!--that's all you, isn't it :)?!

And I'm glad to know that we both hate driving in big cities. I would love to live where you do---I just don't know how I'd ever get there!..or get around once I was there!

I hope she continues to keep all the best of you!

Wow, what a spitting image! I see it when I look at her in person, but those 2 photos nailed it.

I hate driving in big cities too. Hence the reason I never go to P-town.
