I'm It . . .

I have seen all kinds of "tag" in blogworld, but this one is new to me. I received a tag with the following instructions:

Take pictures of the following 10 things in your home. But there's a catch -- no prepping, primping, or picking up. The point is to see how these things/items/people exist in real life. Take your camera and just go for it.

1. My Fridge - Not too bad. Luckily I cleaned it fairly recently.

2. A Closet - I love a neat linen closet. (Did you think I was going to show my closet?!) Someday I will have all white linens. They look so fresh and clean, don't you think?

3. Kitchen Sink - A lone breakfast bowl. Note the lilacs, they and the ferns are from my yard--I have managed to keep fresh flowers in my house continuously since Easter. They make me smile.

4. A Toilet - I cheated a little here. I did not clean, but I moved the little creamer pitcher with Signe's daisies (She picked them during Hockinson Fun Days) onto the toilet so it would be included in the picture.

5. My Favorite Shoes . . .right now. I do love these shoes and their citrus green color, but for the longest time another pair was my favorite. I love red shoes and need to find replacements for them. I still love them but they have seen better days. . .

6. My Favorite Room - My kitchen!

You're right, that is not really my kitchen. If it were it would definitely be my favorite room. With luck in a few months that will be my kitchen. Until then my favorite room is . . . my living room, because it is mostly decorated and always clean. It is the perfect spot to curl up in the afternoon with a good book or my laptop.

7. What My Kids Are Doing Right Now - Sig, eating lunch. Hannah, at school. (actually, right NOW they are both at school, but I took these pics while Signe was eating lunch, before I took her to school).

8. Laundry Pile - I did laundry yesterday so I got lucky!

9. Self Portrait - I am not particularly photogenic and probably should have come up with some clever alternative to a photo (Especially a self taken one!). But that would require too much energy for something that is supposed to be quick and simple. So here you are. . . or rather, here I am.

10. Dream Vacation - This one is easy. Staying in something that looks like this . . .

With a view something like this. . .

And a cute town nearby with shops and restaurants and cobblestone streets. . .wait, maybe that is my dream residence. Oh well, either way, doesn't it sound lovely? Second choice, a trip across old European cities and around England. . . maybe without kids.
Whew! That probably took me longer than it should have. All I can say is, it is a good thing I was not asked to photograph my closet, my garage or my kids rooms!
Now. . . .Tag, your it!: Aki, Lurlyn, Kimberly

Yeah! Thanks for doing this. I love it when people follow directions :)

I'd totally do this, but given I don't have my own house, a lot of these pictures would not be a possibilty for me. I'd have to take pictures of my mom's house... which is in the midst of an addition and a total mess. Oh, I can't wait until I do have a kitchen of my very own to take pictures of!
