Ten Random things I did in 2008
Writer's Workshop with Mama Kat.
2. Finally started the house remodeling. . . just this week. But I got some work in before the new year, so it counts right? Let's hope we finish something before another year ends.
3. Got smarter. . . or at least I soon will be. My husband has gotten two degrees. Now it's my turn. I decided to go back to school and finally get my degree. School doesn't start for another week, but I am all enrolled, so I am counting it!
4. Blondes really do have more fun. I know because this year I tried being brunette for a few months. I will post my findings on that front next week after I am blonde again. Check that one of my list.
5. Discovered blogging. It is so much fun I made four blogs! Which is probably why I am stumped on number 5. Let's just say it is a time consuming hobby.
6. Used several bladed power tools. This makes the list because it was on my 20 things to do before I die list. I may be a project kind of girl, but am afraid of bladed power tools. However, while building the tree house I used a circular saw, a miter saw, and a reciprocating saw. I am patting myself of the back with my fully intact fingers.
7. Found a home and made friends. When we moved here in the end of '07 I had determined that we were only staying a year or two and resolved not make friends--because it's no fun to leave them. But early this year I changed my mind. I made loads of friends and fell in love with Washington. I think I will stay.
8. Our first real family vacation. No going to visit family in lieu of an actual vacation. Five days. . . at Disneyland. I think it was a success. I am thinking next year we should leave the country!
9. Took great strides towards being an independent woman. I drive myself. That sounds bad, I know. I do drive, but I have never been a big fan of driving. However, I am slowly getting better about it. Still no driving in Portland for me, but where I live, no problem! It's really a work in progress.
10. I went apple! I finally bought a Mac, and it's love. In fact, I love my computer so much I decided I needed a iPod ( I was the only member of my family to not own an iPod, 5 and 8 year olds included. My oldest daughter has two.) So I asked Santa for the iPod Touch, and he must love me, because I now have two apples to love.
A few resolutions from '08 are making their way to '09. Perhaps I will post them tomorrow. I could use the motivation of public commitment.
What did you do Great in Oh Eight?

Great list! Congrats on your impending return to school and good luck with all of your classes. You will never regret getting your degree. Glad you are enjoying Washington. I love it there. Have been to Seattle area several times and always enjoyed my visits because it is so beautiful and the people friendly & helpful. Just not enough sun and heat for me to live there.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Congratulations on going back to school and good luck. I resolved this year that when this laptop dies I am switching over to Mac. Me and Windows are getting a divorce. Hope you have a happy New Year!

Seriously, there is a difference between blonde and brunette? That's not a myth? I'm ticked. But if it's to get more looks from males, I don't care. I'm married so I don't need none of that nonsense. Love your list!
Man, Jenni, this is a great list...looks like you had a great year. So jealous of your going back to school, I would love to start over...but...sigh...life has it's claws in...
loved your blog, btw, hope to read you again soon.
Happy New Year!!
