For more years than I have known her, Rob's mom has collected Precious Moments. It started with a simple nativity set and grew over the years to an overwhelming collection with largely retired pieces. When I married into the family eleven years ago, I received my own nativity set from her. When my girls were born they each received an ornament. Each year at Thanksgiving we get our new ornaments and nativity piece. The girls have accumulated so many ornaments that this year I am considering letting them get their own little tree to decorate.
Manna (she's called that, by the way, because when Hannah was a tiny tot she couldn't say Grandma, and so Manna was born) always has a way of getting all six of her grandgirls ornaments that look like them or represent them somehow. This year Hannah got cute girl with long blond hair and Sig's is hugging Mickey, Goofy, and Donald, because next week will be her first trip to Disneyland.

Of course they were thrilled, just at they are every year to add to their own little collection.

Thank you for the recent comment on my blog. :)
Your girls are beautiful! I've always loved Christmas traditions. I think there is something extremely special about the memories created around them. I know I still get that "home" feeling everytime I see the ornaments and decorations my Mom has from all those years ago.
