Well, actually, we made a gingerbread train. (Houses are over rated--remember last year?) And even though the candies look fun and festive, they really don't taste great--nor does the frosting. We test them every year, with the same results. But when you are six you don't get picky about how you take your sugar, apparently.

After using about half the frosting and candy on the train the kids consumed the remaining decorations like a couple of starving orphans. . .

And then I had to send a manically giggling Signe out of the kitchen before someone stepped on her (she was laying on the ground spinning in circles--hey, I don't have to sweep now!) I just sent her to the neighbors--Shhhh, don't tell.

Since the gingerbread is not actually that edible, we made up for it by making peanut butter bon bons. If you don't recognize me next time you see me. . . just pretend you don't notice the extra rolls, please.

Being at the neighbors must calm her considerably, however, she did give me a demonstration of her laughing & spinning on the kitchen floor. I don't have to sweep now either, thanks!
I'm so glad you're blogging again! I love checking in on you - especially at Christmas time!.....remembering last years marshmallow fiasco! Maybe I will get brave and try again - without a two year old (I don't have a two year old anymore anyway)
Shannon says you want to see the house :) Stop by anytime. I certainly can't guarantee the condition you will find it in, but if you can look beyond the messes, and unmade beds, you're welcome to look!
