I'm Seeing Green!

For the first time ever my house was visited by a little green clad man.  It is his habit, we have learned, to steal into houses during the night before St. Patrick's Day and wreak havoc upon unsuspecting homeowners.  He never visited when we lived in Utah, but apparently a leprechaun lives in the area--I think he migrated from Canada (Since he left gold Canadian loonies--of the chocolate variety-- at Signe's preschool--after messing up her classroom and dying her toilet water green.)

The girls were nervous to see if he would hit our house this year.  We escaped his notice last year and the girls were tempted to put a note on the door saying we wouldn't mind if he chose to tease us this year.

He didn't disappoint!  The girls woke up covered in green confetti. . .their toilets filled with green water. . .and a breakfast fit for a leprechaun:

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Have you been seeing green?

That's so fun! I'll have to remember those.

I didn't do anything because I just remember crying over green cream of wheat as a little girl. Maybe next year I'll try it with my girls though.

That is so cute! I bet they really enjoyed it. I'll have to be a tad more festive next year as I almost forgot to wear green as my extent of celebrating!
